As the world watched dangerous THAI RESCUE, faith in humanity was restored...

Time was already running out for the 12 football players and their coach when they were discovered to be missing since June 23, 2018. The birthday celebration that started as a fun exploration of the Tham Luang cave complex in Chiang Rai province, northern Thailand slowly became a nightmare.
The operation started with the help of British explorer, Vern Unsworth who was familiar with the cave structure and was instrumental in giving the rescuers a map of the interior of Thum Luang. He was also able to give names of best cave divers not only in Great Britain but worldwide.
His cry for help was answered by British cave divers John Volanthen and Rick Stanton who was acknowledged by the world as the best cave divers with honors from different countries and was on call for rescue missions that need their expertise. Such brave men did not seek reward, fame, or money when they risked their lives to help these boys get out of the cave.
The hundreds of volunteers who worked 24/7 are worth mentioning such as the farmers who allowed the rescuers to flood their rice fields with pumped water from the cave, a diving gear and oxygen cylinder company who donated the equipment vital for diving, an owner of a washing machine business who offered to wash and dry the rescuers clothes every day, an Israeli communication company, Maxwell, who was responsible for handheld devices used to communicate when regular radios do not work, and the locals who helped in any way they can. All of these were given for free for the whole two weeks it took to rescue the boys and their coach. Sadly, in the midst of the operation, a retired Thai Navy SEAL, Saman Guran, lost his life during the time he was delivering oxygen tanks for the trapped kids and the coach. He willingly chose to help when it was above and beyond the call of duty to do so. The tragedy left us devastated but also proud.

This tragedy helped us see that no matter who we are or what race we belong to, the fact remains that in times of trouble, we will do everything in our power to help each other. Humanity is still not lost.
