A major player in the market who are known brands are on the verge of trying and innovating the new platform which is the e-commerce.
How do you classify a merchant and their products they are trying to sell online?

It's easy for the bottled companies to market their goods because the people tried and tested their products like Pepsi or Coke. But do you think if I'm thirsty right now am I going buy it online? Clearly not. But if I'm lazy and I needed to make a groceries for the whole week, I should probably shop online. Supermarkets who tries the e-commerce are gaining friction about a quantity of purchase using online carts.

Clothing

Marketing your brands online is totally a game changer for clothing brands like  Bershka, Versace, American Eagle and more. The setback here are returns, replacements and complains about the item delivered. Good when more sold than returns.

Services

Restaurants who send free delivery services when you ordered through their website and pay with credit card. Why is this? A strategic way of providing good services delivered to their hungry customers at their doorsteps within a specific timeframe. An example is Zomato. I love their app because it's easy to use while ordering your lunch. They provide a 15 to 50% discount when you order online. While ordering through phone calls will be priced as regular. The disadvantage is, complaining customers whose not sure about the food he ordered. Another one is that the food arrives before the time or after the time mentioned. Hunger is over while the customer complains about the restaurant and gave a one-star rating so everybody trust you no more. The good side is when there’s a cash on delivery or credit card option for payments.

Digital products

This is my favorites, selling e-books, e-courses, printable, planner, workbooks, and photos. The failure could be when you did not test your product and reached the customer in a crappy format or poor captured images. E-course that didn't meet the desired goal to educate because the course syllabus is different from its content. Examples are Amazon Kindle, Udemy and more. The good benefit is that the products are sent automatic on your inbox and sometimes comes in a loop and series.

Conclusion

If you love the idea of e-commerce, this is the most inexpensive way to start a business that does not require a physical store. Provide unlimited opportunities to everyone, not only the big fish in the markets but the small businesses. No matter small, you’re already ahead of everyone when you took advantage of e-commerce.
