Millennial: we are not a failure; you just failed to understand us.

This is now our generation. Millennials as they call it are just often viewed as lazy, failure, and online game addict. Those were just some of the comments older people used to describe us without looking at the roots of our upbringing. Yes, we are so lucky that life is much easier today that it used to be, to have all the information at hand especially that internet is now widely available and one can surf anytime and anywhere, but we seemed to have received the curses that resulted from failures of the previous generations. Though not most, but oftentimes we witnessed families that were broken apart, saw bars and liquors widely available, heard the news about leaders committing corruption, experienced lack of attention from parents due to their busy schedules, and many other things that the older generations have overlooked. Due to the failure of parenting and other external influences, Milleneals have resorted to taking shortcuts and spending their precious time on nonsense things. Using of illegal drugs and alcoholic beverages were so rampant and they even bragged about it; young men and women were just like island hopping with their relationships.

Millennials have taken the heavy blow. Of all those miserable things that are happening today, there’s still hope. A hope that people find it corny to talk about and just laughed it off when being shared it with. Once again, let us acknowledge that there is one divine being over the universe and start going back to the principles and teachings of the scriptures and the gospel. No matter how hard you try to do good things in this life, without the right faith, it will still be useless. Connect to our creator and you’ll be surprise how your miserable life will turn the other way around.

This principle is applicable to everyone, no matter how good you are as a person. This is the only way to reshape the mindset that was already sculpted in the minds of the young adults and even the older ones. We can correct our ways and attend rehabilitation seminars which really help us ease the current situation of this society. However, we have yet to find the best solution to the mess that our Millenneals were tangled into other than going back to God.
