It is undeniable that most people enjoy and love music now because of the gadgets that make it available to everyone. We listen to songs for a variety of reasons such as comfort, inspiration or motivation. Sometimes, however, we have to put a filter on the kind of songs we listen to because it has another kind of effect on us that we may not be aware of.
It is inevitable for trying and difficult times come in our lives and the songs we listen to sometimes play a role in keeping us sane and hopeful for tomorrow. Our songs should be something that would help lift us out of the misery we're in rather than dig a deeper pit for it because these songs play in our minds throughout the day and even at night. Selecting songs must be done carefully because even an idea inserted as a simple line in a song can greatly influence our way of thinking because some songs simply have a simple thought while some encourage negative ideas. Some even encourage suicide that is why we must be careful with the songs we listen to and those we expose our kids to.
It should contain hope and peace rather than wretchedness and hopelessness. It should somehow inspire us to become better people rather than influence us to behave delinquently in our society. A song no matter how harmless it seems can affect us. Therefore, we should select songs that will help us find hope and lift our spirits because they eventually become our songs in the night.
