Literacy is the number one tool in order for a person to live. To attain this, he must undergo a thorough training in knowing how to read, write, and understand different concepts, which we now called education. How people deal with their daily lives involves thinking and an act of philosophizing, in order for a person to perform, he must learn the art of gaining knowledge given by a school.
In the past, studying is exclusive only to the rich. Education was deprived by the society in order to maintain the balance of the status quo between the slaves and the bourgeois. Majority of the people does not know how to read nor write. In the eyes of the people, the world seems to be filled with unsolved puzzles that only the wealthy ones could solve.
Living in the 21st Century, opportunities are the one who chases a person. Considering that the government had given us the gift of studying for free, there are still people who could not go to school. True, that poverty has its phenomenal domination in the world. But education is the only thing that would save us from poverty, and it is the only wealth one could not steal.
