It is now time to shine for us Filipinos especially the younger generation in business

THINKING BEYOND EMPLOYMENT 

Since elementary grade, we have been encouraged to study well so that we can have better jobs in the near future.  Year by year and from elementary to high school and then to college it is concretized that we must study hard in order to have a job after graduation so we could help our younger brothers and sisters in their studies that they too can graduate a course and then have a decent job as well.

But it is different with the people with an entrepreneur mindset especially the successful businessman. They send their children to study business administration in prestigious universities to learn the basics of business and then immerse them in the real business world to apply what they learn in universities. The result is astonishing, especially among Chinese businessmen.

Whether we like it or not, Chinese are the ones who are having the biggest lion share in the business sector. They came to our country almost without anything and they work very hard, started small with their businesses and then they grow it bigger and bigger along with time. The examples of which are the Lucio Tan of PAL, Henry Sy of SM, Tony Caktiong of Jollibee and many more Chinese who are now the backbone of our economy.

It is now time to shine for us Filipinos especially the younger generation in the business. We have to learn from this Chinese community how they were able to succeed in business in our very own country. We have to instill in the younger generation that there has more to offer in becoming an entrepreneur than being an employee. We have to include in our curriculum as early as the elementary level the value of being an entrepreneur so we will have more and more entrepreneur and businessmen that are pure breed Filipinos in the near future.
