Not all children have the greatest mothers, some of them were abandoned by their own mother, some were unwanted, and some were not well taken care off. This shows that like marriage, motherhood is hard work and a choice you make everyday. No matter how much the world see it as something natural in all women; all mothers can attest that motherhood is not as easy as ABC. Some people may think mothers don’t always know best, mothers don’t always have the best intention, mothers don’t always sacrifice for their children, and mothers don’t always have unconditional love for their children. That may be true at some point to any mother but it is not fair to hold it true to all at all times.
Motherhood is a life-changing experience. It gives you a new perspective in facing any challenges that may come. Personally, my daughter always reminds me to be as an intentional parent everyday and how I am aiming to be always present in her life (emotionally or physically).
To all the mothers who isn’t perfect (no one is!) but tries everyday to be the best version of yourself for your children. To you who at times feel like giving up because honestly, it can be tough but still hold on because of love and responsibility. To you, who instead of seeing all the sacrifices made, see the beauty and gift in all of these – my salute to all of you! I pray God will continue to give you more strength, courage and grace to be a mother every day. Hats off to all amazing mothers in the world!
