Stress is inevitable given the everyday demands of our work, school, business, and whatnots. Therefore, to relieve this, we do anything to recharge and acquire peace of mind. Most of the time we go hang out with friends, go travel to some serene places or perhaps go shopping just to ease the anxiety we acquired from our stressful environment. But there are times that we cannot go out because of budget constraint, bad weather, or we just simply do not want to go out and just stay at home. Good thing is that here are some activities we can do at home to somehow relieve stress and keep us entertained at the same time!
Organize
An organized or well-arranged house can help in attaining peace of mind. We can arrange some stuffs, clean our home so that our mind can drift somewhere away the things that cause our stress. We may throw stuffs which are not in need, systematize some things, and maybe decorate the walls!
Plant
Another way to relieve stress is to plant! For thousands of years, several ailments have been prevented and treated with plants anyone can grow. Consequently, the act of planting itself can help anyone be relieved from the feeling of anxiety and stress. How amazing it is to think that we can grow life with our own hands!
Cook
Cooking has also been a great “destresser” to many. It serves as a creative outlet and it soothes one’s soul through the sensory experience with aroma, taste, touch, visual delight and even the boiling and the sizzling sound!
Read
For book lovers, there is no better way to be relaxed than to be submerged into pages with a freshly brewed coffee on your side.  We can read inspirational and spiritual stories to feel at ease and uplift our spirit.
Watch Movies
If you are not into reading, you can opt to watch movies or series instead! Watch feel good movies that will definitely make you laugh out loud!
Paint
Another creative outlet we can recharge to is to paint or draw. Get your art paraphernalia and unleash your stress through scribbles, colors and paint.
Dance
When the body feels good, the mind does too! Stretch your body, turn up your music and dance it all out! That way, your happy hormones will be released making you feel calm and optimistic.

A simple stress may lead to something more dangerous and detrimental for our body. That is why before it becomes constant or chronic, we should take an action to release it from time to time. There is a lot of simple activities such as the above to alleviate stress that you can do at the comforts of your own home.
