Simbang Gabi(Misa de Gallo)

 Simbang Gabi or in Spanish Misa De Gallo,is a Filipino Christmas tradition. People try to complete the nine dawn mass.It starts as early as 4:00 a.m. It begins on December 16 and ends on the midnight of the 24th of December, which is the midnight mass.

 Simbang Gabi is not only a tradition,but also the spiritual preparation for Christmas, in commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ.Most people believe that if one completes the whole series of nine dawn masses, wishes will be granted.

 After the mass ,people buy their favorite food.There are food stalls out side the church,where you can buy bibingka, puto (rice cakes), puto bungbong and suman.
