All Graduates are Required to Plant Atleast 10 Trees Before Graduation House Bill 8728 Malapit ng ma Approve
Lahat ng graduating students from elementary, senior and college may soon required to plant atleast 10 trees before nila makukuha ang kanilang diploma or plant first before graduate. Ito ay ayon sa sinusulong na House Bill 8728 na nagsasaad "Graduation Legacy for the Environment Act" mandating all graduating students in grade school, high school, and college to plant at least 10 trees as a prerequisite for graduation.
Under the proposed measure, the trees shall be planted in forest lands, mangrove and protected areas, ancestral domains, civil and military reservations, urban areas under the greening plan of the local government units, inactive and abandoned mine sites, or other suitable lands.
The species of trees should also be appropriate to the location, climate and topography of the site.
Should it get enacted, the Department of Education and the Commission on Higher Education, in partnership with other government agencies, are tasked to implement the policy.
