Duterte: I will never talk with Abu Sayyaf

President Rodrigo Duterte on Friday stopped making peace overtures with the Abu Sayyaf Group, saying he will never talk with the group notorious for its kidnapping-for-ransom scheme and beheading of hostages.
Duterte, in a speech in Cotabato City, lamented the killings perpetrated by the group.
“I do not simply like the idea of cutting heads of people, innocent people. Pati ‘yung bata na kinidnap. What’s the f***** sense of doing it? It is not. Huwag nila akong bolahin,” he said.
“I will never, never, never talk with the Abu Sayyaf. Hindi talaga. Hindi talaga pwede. Kailanman. Terorista,” he added.
