 Naranasan mo na bang matulog ng 8 oras o higit, pero paggising mo sa umaga, hinang-hina ka parin at pakiramdam mo kulang ka sa tulog. Narito ang maaaring dahilan, kung bakit tayo nakakaranas ng ganito. At kung papaano natin ito maiiwasan

It's 7am and you have to get out of bed — but you're so tired, even though you had eight hours of sleep...and you even had time for a nap the day before. What's wrong?
According to Dr. Oyie Balburias in an episode of "Pinoy MD", you might be suffering from a condition called "morning sluggishness" and he further explained that when it comes to sleep, quality matters as much as quantity.
"Maaaring ang isang sanhi niyan ay ang kalidad nang iyong pagtulog," Dr. Oyie said. "Minsan nakakatulog tayo, pero kung hindi natin naabot 'yong antas o estado nang pagtulog, hindi nito naiibigay ang tinatawag nating recuperating sleep kaya we still feel tired and sluggish sa umaga."
Dr. Oyie said that it's important to find out if there are underlying causes that prevents a person from reaching restful sleep like sleep disorder breathing e.g. obstructive sleep apnea.

The quality of sleep is also affected by stress, medication, the amount of caffeine consumed within the day, and even light from gadgets.
WebMD suggests "powering down" and staying away from gadgets 15 to 30 minutes before you go to your bedroom to sleep as "light from these devices pass through the retina into a part of the hypothalamus (the area of the brain that controls several sleep activities) and delay the release of the sleep-inducing hormone, melatonin."
A sleep specialist could help identify the root of the problem and help you feel more rested when you wake up.

 Para maging dekalidad ang ating pagtulog, iwasang mag isip ng kung-ano. Iwaksi ang anumang alalahanin ng ating isipan. Makakatulong ang paginom ng gatas para sa maayos na pagtulog. At wag kalimutang magdasal.
