Diligently Seek Him

Life brings us to lots of wonderful adventures and unexpected experiences. We sometimes get so occupied with the happenings around us that we often forget one important thing we must do each day—to seek God. It is funny that we are daily surrounded by Him and His creation and yet it is He who we always forget to talk to and look for every day.  Is He truly just someone we only run to when problems come or is He something more than that? Is he simply silent when we need Him or is He always beside us sharing our pain? 

We need to diligently seek Him out each day to find the answers to life’s toughest questions. We don’t always have the answers and even if we try to come up with explanations about it, we still find it hard to understand. So what do we get if we seek Him? Hebrews 11:6 KJV says, “But without faith it is impossible to please him; for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” This verse simply tells us that we don’t only get answers to our questions, we also get a reward for seeking Him. The only requirement stated is that we seek Him and to do it diligently. We also have to do it in the eyes of faith. How do we seek Him then? The answer is simple: we start looking for Him in the book that proclaims who He is and who we are in His eyes—the Holy Bible. There’s no other form of literature that would perfectly answer our inquiries about God but this book.

When we start searching Him through this book, we should do so with our hearts open and willing to take in what He has to tell us. Unbelief and skepticism won’t lead us far in our search of Him because faith is the tool that will help us find what we’re looking for. Blessings await those who seek Him out. May we be among those who enjoy those blessings by having a desire to not only seek Him but also to know Him.
