Heartbreaking but true is the fact that many people live and die and never have close relationships. This is especially true in the life of many youth today. Many stumble in darkness to find a close relationship with another and yet never develop the kind of ties characterized by intimacy.
Perhaps the greatest obstacle for one to get close is the presence of gadgets and the advent of social media. People nowadays especially the millennials feel so close with each other in the virtual world but when they each other in person, they tend to shy away and a sense of awkwardness fills the air.
If one wants to get close with other people, he should not confine himself in his 4-cornered room and the virtual world. One should allow himself to discover new people, make friends and make some efforts in order to establish genuine and sincere friend relationship. Another way to get close is to share experiences with friends while they are happening. Many shares such experiences but miss the blessing and the close ties because they fail to appreciate the privileges shared while the experiences are taking place. The more types of experiences that people can share, the more possibilities there are for times spent in the future.
