A sense of maturity is quite the acceptance of responsibility. It shows up in a person’s life not because they arrive at a certain age or status, but when they begin to truly own and accept the true, God-given responsibilities of life. It entails embracing life’s responsibilities and accepting life’s growing pains.
Understanding maturity and immaturity is the key in making a decision to be mature and responsible or not to be.
Immaturity seeks fun while maturity seeks responsibility. Immaturity seeks comfort, maturity seeks growth. Maturity seeks to improve and to increase. It is not all about comfort but looks opportunity to get better. While immaturity pursues pleasure and convenience, maturity seeks purpose. Immediate gratification is the end goal of immaturity whereas maturity desires long-term blessings. Immaturity when chosen willfully, always leads to emptiness, while maturity leads to fullness- an abundant life.
Don’t look back to immaturity. Embrace maturity and look forward to a wonderful future. Know where you are going and why. Grow up, be mature and be responsible.
