A lot of teens today face problems that their parents never had to face. One of those problems is bullying or cyberbullying. No one deserves to be treated cruelly much more if it is repeated cruelty. Sometimes, a reaction is exactly what bullies are looking for because they think they have power over you but never allow a bulky to be empowered. Getting back at a bully turns you to be one that you can remove yourself from that situation, do so. If you can’t, distracts a person from bullying.
Most in social media apps and services bullying are present simply because one click can make the one who bullied feel superior over others. Teens today look at the world from a different perspective from that of their parents which makes it hard for the adults to understand some of their problems. Those who are bullied deserve back up. Seek for someone who can listen, help your process of what’s going on and work through it- a friend, relative or maybe an adult you trust.
The only good news about bullying online is that it can now be captured, save and shown to someone who can help. You can save evidence in case things escalate. The best thing you can do is try to stop the bullying by taking a stand against them. Even if a person bullied is not your friend, kind words can help reduce the pain. At the very least, help by not passing along mean messages. Most teenage doesn't tell their parents about bullying. Bullying involves a loss of dignity or control over a social media situation. Remember that we go through challenges and figuring out how to deal with them so sometimes, it’s important to give our children space and let them know we have their back. Guidance for parents, and young people on cyberbullying including advice for ending the cycle of aggression.
