The millionaire's punch does it again, as millions of boxing fans across the globe and the Philippines erupted in cheers of jubilation on Sunday, July 15, 2018 after the humble fighting Philippine senator Manny Pacuiao floored Argentine Lucas Matthysse in a world bout.

Born as Emmanual Dapidran Pacquiao on December 17, 1978 to parents Dionesia Dapidran Pacquiao and Rosalio Pacquiao who later got separated when Manny was just in the sixth grade. Manny’s life is a typical rug to riches story with a twist. When his father left them for another woman, he was force to sell breads and home-made doughnut on the streets of General Santos City. If he was not selling on the streets, he will visit neighboring towns and villages to compete for boxing especially during fiestas hoping to bring home $3 dollars if he wins and $2 dollars if he loses. As a young boy, he already knew that there is money in boxing as he will give his winnings to his mother to support their daily existence.

With his eagerness in boxing, he went on and sailed to Manila for training and hopes to find a greater payday during bouts. In Manila, he continued to train hard and hone his power and speed. Eventually, his winning streak continued in Manila as well.

His international fame started with he became as a late substitute for an international belt where he sensationally knock out Ledwaba and dethroned him of his IBF super bantamweight. After that, his international popularity continued to soar as he won championship fights in 8 different weight classes.   He was tag as one of the most exciting boxer of all time because of his no-fear to engage style in all his boxing bouts. Then he reached a point of his career that every time he throws a punch, he will receive millions in return as his bouts will draw millions of revenues in tickets sold and pay-per-view alike.
