            Android is the mobile operating system that binds every Filipinos from Aparri to Sulu. According to the survey, 9 out 10 smartphones are using Android in the Philippines. The android operating system (OS) is a testament that small beginnings can become great if it is nurtured and manage well as it was able to defeat the once formidable Symbian OS of Nokia and iOS of apple.

Just like other success stories, Android OS has its small beginnings. It was during 2009 that the first android OS was launched called petit four which was unheard of. It was followed with cupcake, then donut and enclair in the same year. It was during fourth quarter of 2010 that Android officially overtaken and dethroned Symbian OS on the mobile OS wars. Since then, android mobile OS did not look back as it continues to hold its number one position for how many years already. With its popular current version being 8.1 Oreo, rest assured that android OS will stay at the top for a long time.
         
What makes android OS so popular around the world? Is it because it is smart enough to use confectionary themes and alphabetical in order that we can associate with. Aside from that, the android OS knows what the people want and make it happen.
