People want success in life and become better than most people. No one wants to be described as average. This aspiration agrees with God’s purpose for all- to excel and to live above average.
The meaning of average is subtle but clear. To become average is to become everyone else, being indistinguishable from all those around-to just blend in. It is allowing yourself to settle for less and be content with mediocrity.
Nonetheless, it is not God’s design for you. You are made for a greater purpose. Average is not the way to live your life, let’s take a look at how to change things up. Here are some things about your life that you are just going to have to change if you hope to get anywhere.
Have a great ambition. A person who stops dreaming will eventually start dying. There are many things that prevent people from having great ambitions in life-confusing humility with fear; contentment with laziness; and little thinking with ordinary.
Have a growing faith. You must be a common person but if you have an uncommon faith in God, nothing will be impossible. Faith is more important than education.
Have a genuine prayer life. Pray for strength and power to help you accomplish what you ought to do.
Stop waiting around. Take action. Success will not come walking to you. You have to work for it. Make your goals happen.
Strive for excellence. Whatever you are doing now, work at it with all your heart, body and mind. Give your best shot all the time. Work with enthusiasm.
Sharpen your skills. Skilled people end up on top. Evaluate yourself from time to time and focus on improving.
Be brave. Set aside your fears and take risks. Come out of your comfort zone.
A life above the status-quo won’t just happen by chance. If you work alone, it will seem improbable but with God’s help nothing is impossible. He knows the plan He has for you and has given you a formula for living an above existence. You can only bring it to the next level with God as your partner.
