Do Not Rush The Washing Machine

A washing machine is an amazing piece of machinery. It is almost human. You just have to turn it on; it does the rest. It fills, washes, refills, rinses and spins again. To miss any one of the said processes means the clothes will not be done properly.

Life functions that way. It is divided into cycles. There is infancy, childhood, teenage, college age, young adult, adulthood, middle age and old age. For one to reach out too soon and grasp one of those cycles or to reach back too far for a missed cycle does not make for a complete, happy and fulfilling life. Life is short, but it can be enjoyed to its fullest when live as it comes as God planned it. One should not prematurely grasp the next stage without living fully the present stage.

Take a lesson from the washing machine. If you want to turn out to be the best, the cleanest, and the most useful, you must take life as it comes, not reaching forward to that for which you are not yet ready and not reaching backward to that which you have passed. Life is not about living in the future or in the past. Life is about accepting the present moment. Do not rush. Live the moment and enjoy.
