Do Your Work With Safety...Come Home Safely

Every day we go to work and we spend most of our productive time at work. However, most of us if not all are exposed to safety risks while we are in our workplace. Regardless of whether we are inside the four walls of an office or inside a plant with a lot of machineries and equipment around; we are intentionally or unknowingly facing some unsafe conditions.

 Safety must be everybody’s top priority. Injuries and accidents can be prevented with proper attitude towards work. It should not only be a concern of the safety officer but of each and every one who goes to work every day. From the simple usage of ladders and stairs, the usual lifting of things to the complex operation of particular equipment or tool, a safety procedure must be followed. Moreover, unsafe behavior cannot be tolerated or ignored as we can’t put our own lives at risk and also the lives of others.

To ensure a safe work environment, we must have proper behavior towards how we do things and responds to any situation. If you happen to identify an unsafe condition like a tripping air conditioner, you must not ignore it but instead report it for rectification to prevent further property damage and worst loss of lives. As much as possible, you help eliminate hazardous situations in your workplace. If the hazards cannot be eliminated, find means to reduce its potential to cause harm and danger.

Don’t remove that hard hat you are wearing as it is life-saving. No matter how uncomfortable it feels, it can never pay for the degree of protection it gives you.  Simply, follow rules. Be sensitive for others as well. They are also fathers like you and their families are waiting at home for them to come home safely.  Do your job with utmost safety and avoid unsafe work practices so you can come every day.
