More Is Less: How Wearing More Clothes Protects Yourself

I recently saw a post with an advisory from the police. The post said that one should not wear clothes that are too small especially at night, since it can attract men with wrong intentions. I then read the comments and I am dismayed that instead of being grateful for the wonderful advice, they ranted that people should not judge others by their appearance and those women deserve respect regardless of what she is wearing. I stalked these commenters and I saw that they were women who loved to wear clothes that are revealing and tight-fitting.
Ladies, wearing lesser clothes would normally draw attention than wearing modest ones. A male friend told me that what they usually look at after checking out the chest part is the clavicle and the knee pit. If you are wearing clothes that reveal these body parts, then be ready to receive attention. It would be great if the attention you get is from decent people, but alas, you also can attract people with bad intentions. You wear something that would make crush look at you, not thinking that he is not the only one looking at your cleavage or checking out your smooth, flawless legs. I once witnessed a lady harassed by the guy sitting next to her. She was wearing short shorts and a sleeveless shirt showcasing her cleavage and the guy beside her probably can’t keep his hands to himself. It was scary for us girls that someone could boldly touch a lady when she clearly doesn’t like it. This is the start of most abuse stories. The guys would check out the hot girl wearing clothes that showcase her body and they would imagine unsavory thoughts and these thoughts push them to their evil plans. The next thing we know, videos showing drunken girls being molested by several men appear and go viral on the internet. The worst case would be that the abusers would threaten the girls for fear of being imprisoned.
I am not telling you to wear clothes that reach the ankles with sleeves that cover the wrists all the time so you won’t get harassed.  I believe that one should just wear clothes according to the occasion. It’s okay to wear clothes that show your best advantages but one should discern if the clothes you wear are capable of drawing unwanted attention. If someone advises you to wear more to hide revealing parts of the body, please be thankful. This is not to put you down or provoke you to anger but just concern for your safety and how others will look at you. Wearing lesser clothes means garnering lesser respect, so be choosy with the kind of clothes you wear because people will see this as what kind of woman you are.
