December 3, 2018, Monday at around 2:50pm. I was on my way to
Manila City Hall, to process some errands. Suddenly, I noticed a man with his
son (the son looks like 2-3years old), the father was holding his son’s arm
while walking. I didn’t see what the son is doing few seconds before I cross
their path. However, when I was near them, I heard the father said “pesteng
bata ka” (excuse me for saying those words). It’s like it broke my heart and
thought of talking to the father. On the contrary, I didn’t do anything to
speak to the man ‘coz I don’t like to make any mess. It’s just that those words
are the words that we don’t want to hear from someone.
As a parent, I know sometimes we’re about to lose our
patience in taking care of our little ones. However, we don’t want to see our
kids reflect from us when they grow up. Maybe that’s one of the reasons why some
kids tend to bully because they got it from their parent/s.
My fellow parent/s, what attitude
are we showing to our child? Are we a good role model to them? Let’s try to assess
ourselves…SUGGESTED TILES WAIT TO DOWN LOAD TO VIEW FEATURED POST BELOW
